APW - Waltham, split-seconds chronograph, at least 17J, 14S, very heavy 18K gold OF original A.W.Co. case with Jurgensen-style lips, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#1378605. Gross weight of assembled watch 92.6 dwt (144.2 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running after a twist to start, chronograph with good stop/start function but hands occasionally stall or halt, reset is inconsistent and is very frequently incomplete (sometimes only moving slightly toward reset) and sluggish, split-seconds with good stop function but reset is inconsistent and is nearly always incomplete (sometimes only moving slightly, if at all, toward reset) and sluggish, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, scattered oxide to steelwork; dial with perimeter hl from 10:30 to 12, minuscule edge nicks under bezel near setting lever; fine hands, chronograph sweep hands with some slight bends, subsidiary seconds-hand with oxide and finish loss, few small spots of oxide to other hands; case shows medium wear, no dents or dings, greatly reduced engine turning detail with full loss throughout shoulder; tight bow, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal with only a very small edge flake at right side.
